Caroline leverages her background in participatory learning through theatre, along with her experience of China, global leadership, entrepreneurship and cross-cultural management, to run a range of bespoke workshops for corporate and institutional clients at senior leadership level through her consulting programme Act For Impact.   Act for Impact aims to work with all levels of a company, from senior executive level right down to supply chain, in a vertically-oriented, strategic and impactful transformational programme. Aspects of these programmes are often delivered in partnership with Caroline's social enterprise, Scheherazade Initiatives, and other experienced leadership trainers.

Caroline's approach encompasses a three-step process:

1) Develop awareness around a particular challenge that a company might be experiencing and how they solve it
2) Bring about behaviour-change to effect large-scale transformation in organisations
3) Data-driven analysis of the impact of the workshop on your bottom line.

Impact is critical and Caroline uses her background in using theatre-based programmes for individual and social transformation to drive change through ALL levels of your company.

All of our programmes can be delivered in real time, through online portals and 'micro-learning' (in partnership with Gnowbe) or in a blended learning programme.

The following 3 workshops can be delivered either as individual elements or combined in a package as part of the Act For Impact programme for longer-term impact - and RESULTS connected to your bottom line - within your company or organisation.

The transformative power of theatre
This ground-breaking half-day workshop uses basic theatre skills – ‘Frozen Pictures’ – to explore challenges that leaders face in their organisation, build awareness around these issues and find effective ways to solve these challenges as leaders and teams as well.

Participants will:
  • Improve their understanding of effective ways of working with a team
  • See the difference between being reactive and responsive – and how having an effective strategy is important
  • Learning the importance of both leading and following to be an effective leader
  • Concretise problems that are being faced by leaders in organisations and develop a step-by-step action plan to resolve challenges
  • Have fun!

'Rehearsal for real life’
Creating extraordinary behaviour change for organisational transformation

Traditional leadership training often focuses on ways to solve problems without actually enabling participants to literally try out new ways of thinking and doing that builds the ‘muscle’ needed for true transformation in a company.  Caroline Watson’s ground-breaking theatre-based workshops act as a ‘rehearsal for real life’ that develops real and meaningful behaviour change around challenges that executives face in a fun, interactive and practical way.

Workshops are minimum 1 full day for, ideally, no more than 10 participants, but, for large teams, it is recommended to extend to 2 or 3 days to optimise learning opportunities for each team member.

At the end of the course, participants will:
  • Strengthen their leadership skills and power to convince and persuade others
  • Understand that they have a ‘choice’ to lead in all situations, whether upstream or downstream
  • Develop assertive communication techniques that create win-win outcomes for all concerned
  • Build a 360 view on ways to solve challenges in a team
  • Harness the power of body language, use of space, ‘status’ awareness to develop genuine authority

All workshops are highly practical in nature, going beyond traditional pedagogical approaches to using kinaesthetic learning approaches that enable individuals to develop both awareness and behaviour change to bring about transformation in their company.
“The lessons that you learn through character and narration live longer in the memory than what you learn in the classroom.    A very effective way of bringing to life the human impact of the macro-issues.”

"Arts-based approaches to learning in the corporate space can add tremendous value to a more empathetic understanding of cross-cultural issues, leadership development and teamwork.  Companies with a passion and desire to enhance the impact of their goods and services, to drive focus to more transactional benefits of understanding one’s target audience, and to make links across different stakeholder groups to improve innovation, would benefit by taking part in Caroline’s unique approach to organisational learning."
